The Bears Ears Loops is a 795 mile bikepacking route network developed by Bikepacking Roots. The route places bikepackers in this immense, complex, magnificent, and threatened landscape. What are the Bears Ears? The buttes rise from high on a plateau in southeastern Utah. The Bears Ears are two nearby buttes. As a result the buttes resemble a pair of bear ears. Visible from many directions for a hundred miles. These buttes have stood throughout human time and have deep cultural, historic, and political importance. The Bears Ears Loops, paired with Bikepacking Roots’ 100 page guidebook, will help riders better understand this land. The views and solitude is amazing.
