It runs concurrent with or parallel to the Lavender Federation Trail, a hiking trail that was built to celebrate the centenary of the 1901 Federation of Australia and named in honor of the memory of Terry Lavender OAM, whose vision and leadership resulted in this scenic and historic trail that stretches between the towns of Murray Bridge and Clare. The riding trail keeps to quiet scenic country roads, passing through diverse country along the flanks of the Eastern Mount Lofty Ranges.
