New in FarOut: Filter, Flag, & Report for a Better Trail

We’ve rolled out 3 powerful new tools to give you more control over what you see—and more ways to help others on the trail:

1. Filter Comments – Quickly surface insights about water, camping, hazards, and more.

2. Flag Comments – Report off-topic, offensive, or misleading comments on waypoints.

3. Report Waypoints – Identify outdated or inaccurate waypoints to keep trail info reliable.

What is Comment Filtering?

Comment filtering is a new feature that allows you to customize the comment section in the FarOut app based on specific topics like: water sources, connectivity, camping spots, trail conditions, trail magic, and lost-and-found items. This helps you quickly find the most relevant information for your adventure.

**PLEASE NOTE: once a filter is selected, it will stay selected on all other waypoints. To see all the comments, you must deselect all of the waypoint filters.**

  •  A filter is not in use when the filter button is light colored and the text within the button is colored.
  • A filter is in use when the filter button is dark in color and the text within the button is white.

To see ALL comments, do not select a filter.
