When is the best time to hike each trail?

The hiking season in the Northern Hemisphere starts roughly around March and goes through September, with variations depending upon how far north or south you are. For example, hiking in the far south of the United States is doable (and often preferable) in October through February.

Southern Hemisphere hiking mirrors the Northern Hemisphere, with a season from about October through March. We prepared a chart so that you can see the ideal hiking season for most of the trails that we have guides for. Keep in mind that the perfect time to hike can vary depending on weather and your personal preferences.
